We C.A.R.E. is Veteran Initiative 22’s mantra, that our team uses to help veterans feel the respect, acceptance, and energy they need to fight their daily challenges and thrive in this difficult world.
Cannabis
We believe that cannabis is one of many pathways to achieve positive and holistic outcomes for our Veterans who are experiencing challenges post military. Cannabis is known to help with issues from PTSD, Anxiety, Chronic Pain, and much more. Our Veterans suffer daily and we are here to help provide affordable access to cannabis through the VI22 incentive program (22% discount) that many dispensaries and ancillary organizations in Maryland have taken on.
Advocacy
Our organization’s goal is to bring national awareness to this tragedy, while also working to improve the lives of Veterans across the country. We partake and support awareness events, host pop-ups, and participate in policy groups to advocate for Veteran’s rights and access to medical cannabis. Policies we are sensitive to include cannabis accessibility, firearm accessibility, and Veterans rights, welfare and health.
Resources
Providing resources such as educational material, Veteran insight, and data from the Veterans Administration. This allows us to help patients and organizations better navigate the intersections between cannabis and the challenges our Veterans face.
Employment
We actively seek and engage for more Veteran employment opportunities within the cannabis, alternative medicine, and holistic wellness industries. The VI22 team speaks with industry, patients and potential employees and provides advice on how to enter the industry. Also, we work with organizations on best business practices and hiring processes to help hire and keep valuable Veterans on board.
